What does it mean to pioneer a new Agape Student-led Movement?
How do you kick start a spiritual movement in a new faculty, University, city or country?
If your reading this then the chances are that God is perhaps leading you to start a new movement!

Some basic questions:

1. Why start an AGAPE Student-led Movement?

We believe that any university needs multiple expressions of Christian witness to reach all the students with the gospel. No one group can cover the huge diversity of a university. The body of Christ must work together in partnering between different churches & multiple pro-church groups.

God makes originals & doesn’t do photocopies! If you where to launch an Agape group then you need to be convinced that you are bringing something unique to the campus. That the Agape DNA with its focus on win build & send is adding something to the body of Christ. We are not in competition but rather we want to compliment the body of Christ in a humble & bold way.

2. Who can Pioneer an Agape Student-led Movement?

Any student who loves Jesus & has influence can pioneer.

Any student that has the ER can pioneer.
Energy – spiritual & emotional energy are needed to sustain the marathon of movements.
Risk – do crazy stuff & be willing to fail because not everything will work well first time.

3. How to Pioneer an Agape Student-led Movement?

• Get an Agape Movement Coach on your team.
  Agape staff or volunteer will help you be fruitful on your University & coach you.


• Find one other crazy student willing to take the risks with you.


• Create a new community around the cause.
  Fellowship is good but community around mission is more powerful.


• Pray continually.
  Do prayer walks & lean heavily on the Lord for this crazy adventure.
  Doing the impossible always helps our prayer life!


• Share your faith weekly
  This is one of the Agape distinctives i.e. making evangelism a way of life.

In conclusion
Think Big, Start small & Go deep

Big = have a vision for the whole university.
Small = you can begin with just you - others will join you as you step out in faith!
Deep = you cannot microwave a movement so be patient to see God work in & through you.
