It is a good idea to have clear explanation of the Gospel message in your mind. Using the Knowing God Personally (KGP) booklet can be one of the best things you can do to help you remember the main points of the Gospel.
KGP Summary:
God loves us (good news)
We have sinned (bad news)
God forgives us through Jesus (good news)
We need to decide to follow Jesus (your news)
It has been said that people won’t care what you think unless they sense that you care. We need to make sure that we are engaging with the other person and listening to where they are at with God and not starting from where we want them to be.
Action point:
Memorize the four points of the Gospel from the KGP and the pictures that go with them. Next time you’re in a conversation where the Holy Spirit is creating the opportunity for you to share the Gospel, try not to use the KGP booklet. Instead, naturally, drop in the parts of the Gospel relevant to the conversation and perhaps draw the diagrams on a napkin.
